From Street Evangelism to the Church Altar! A Divine Appointment in Brampton, ON
What began as an unexpected encounter with a pastor and his evangelistic team on the streets of Brampton became an invitation to minister at a Punjabi church! On July 12, 2026, I shared my testimony through an interpreter, experienced wonderful Spirit-filled worship, and prayed with people at the altar. One young man received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues! What a wonderful reminder that God opens doors when we make ourselves available to Him!

From Street Evangelism to the Church Altar! A Divine Appointment in Brampton, ON
Sunday, July 12, 2026 | Revival in Jesus Ministry, Brampton, Ontario
During my 2026 Across Canada Miracle Ministry Journey, I spent several days ministering on the streets of Brampton, Ontario. It was right in the middle of a summer heat wave, and some days the temperature was almost unbearable! But the heat wasn't going to stop me from preaching Jesus!
I had Grace, my little ministry van, set up near Queen Street and Kennedy Road, where I was sharing the Gospel, giving away free Bibles and Gospel tracts, and praying with people as the Holy Spirit led. Every day I would ask the Lord to bring people across my path who were hungry for Him, who needed salvation, healing, encouragement, or a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit. And once again, the Lord opened a door I hadn't expected!
A Divine Appointment on the Streets of Brampton
While I was out ministering, I met a pastor who was also involved in street evangelism, along with his evangelistic team. Isn't that wonderful? Here we were, both out sharing Jesus with people in the same city!
We connected through our common desire to reach people with the Gospel. I spent the afternoon ministering with the team near the Shoppers World Mall. As we talked about ministry and what the Lord was doing, an unexpected opportunity opened up.
The pastor invited me to come and minister at his church! Now, I hadn't arrived in Brampton with that particular meeting on my schedule. My plan was to go wherever the Lord led me, preach the Gospel, and minister to people along the way.
But that's what I love about travelling ministry. You never know who you're going to meet or what doors the Lord will open when you make yourself available. What began as a simple encounter on the street became an invitation to share the Gospel with a whole congregation! Praise God!
My First Time Ministering Through an Interpreter!
On Sunday, July 12, I arrived at Revival in Jesus Ministry for their Sunday Prayer Meeting. This was a Punjabi Indian congregation, and I had never ministered through an interpreter before. That was going to be a new experience for me! But you know something? The Gospel doesn't change because someone speaks another language. Jesus is the same everywhere!
And WOW, did this church know how to worship the Lord! The music was powerful, and the people worshipped with such enthusiasm and passion. They were worshipping God with their whole hearts, minds, bodies, and souls. I absolutely loved it! There was such a wonderful atmosphere of worship and hunger for God. It reminded me that we may come from different cultures and backgrounds, but when we come together in Jesus Christ, we belong to the same family of God.
Sharing What Jesus Had Been Doing Across Canada
When it came time for me to minister, I began sharing my testimony and some of the wonderful things the Lord had been doing throughout my journey across Canada and the United States. As I spoke, the interpreter translated my words into Punjabi so everyone could understand. I shared about the people I had met, the opportunities the Lord had opened, and how Jesus was still saving, healing, delivering, and baptizing people in the Holy Spirit.
I also encouraged the congregation to step out in faith and be available to minister wherever the Lord places them. That's something I really want believers to understand. You don't have to wait until someone invites you to preach from a pulpit before you can share Jesus!
There are opportunities all around us, whether we're standing on a busy street corner, sitting beside someone in a park, visiting a neighbour, or simply having a conversation with a stranger. Jesus said:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)
And that's exactly what we are called to do.
The Altar Filled With People Seeking Prayer
At the end of the meeting, many people came forward to the altar for prayer. What a wonderful opportunity to minister! I began praying with people, laying hands on them, and believing God to meet them right where they were.
Everyone has a story. Everyone has needs. And what a privilege it is when someone trusts you enough to come forward and ask for prayer. But there was one particular encounter that really blessed me.
A Young Man Receives the Baptism in the Holy Spirit!
A young man came forward who was hungry for more of God. He wanted to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Well, praise the Lord! That's something I love ministering to people! I began encouraging him about the wonderful gift Jesus promised believers and the power of the Holy Spirit available to us. Jesus said in Acts 1:8:
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me...”
Then I prayed with him to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
And he began speaking in tongues!
Hallelujah! Just as we read in the book of Acts, here was another believer receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit. What a wonderful moment! It reminded me again why the Lord had sent me across the country. It's not about how many kilometres I travel, how many places I visit, or how many meetings I preach at. It's about PEOPLE!
It's about someone receiving Jesus, someone being healed, someone being set free, or someone receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It's about telling people that Jesus loves them and helping them receive what He has provided.
A Beautiful Expression of Love and Thanksgiving
At the end of the meeting, the church was so loving and appreciative of my coming that they presented me with beautiful flowers! I was deeply touched by their kindness and hospitality.
Here I was, a travelling minister from the West Coast of Canada, ministering in a Punjabi church in Brampton, sharing through an interpreter for the very first time, and witnessing people receive from the Lord. And to think that it all began with an encounter on the streets of Brampton! Isn't God wonderful?
What Happens When We Say Yes to God?
When I look back on that day, I'm reminded that we don't always know what the Lord has planned. I went to Brampton to preach Jesus on the streets. I met a pastor and his evangelistic team. That meeting opened the door for me to minister to a congregation I had never met before. And at the altar, a young man received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues!
That's what happens when we make ourselves available and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Lord once put something very simple on my heart:
“Tell them that I love them and tell them about Me.”
And that's what I'm doing, wherever He sends me. The Gospel doesn't belong to one culture, one denomination, or one particular kind of church.
JESUS IS FOR EVERYONE!
And whether it's on the streets of Brampton or at the altar of a Punjabi church, the same Holy Spirit is at work.
“For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20)
What a privilege to be part of what the Lord is doing!
Where Grace goes, Salvation comes!
TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!
