One Year Later, She Recognized Me! Another Healing on the Streets of Brampton

On July 9, 2026, while preaching at Queen Street and Kennedy Road in Brampton, Ontario, I recognized an elderly woman I had prayed for the previous year. She told me she had been doing much better since receiving prayer, but pain had recently returned to her back. We prayed again, and she immediately straightened up, rejoicing that the pain was gone! What an incredible reminder that Jesus is still healing today!

One Year Later, She Recognized Me! Another Healing on the Streets of Brampton

Thursday, July 9, 2026 | Queen Street and Kennedy Road, Brampton, Ontario

This is one of those testimonies that reminds me how the Lord brings people across our paths at just the right time. During my 2026 Across Canada Miracle Ministry Journey, I spent several days doing street evangelism in Brampton, Ontario, with Grace, my little ministry van. We were sharing the Gospel, giving away Bibles and Gospel tracts, preaching through the microphone, and praying with people right there on the sidewalk.

Every morning, I would ask the Lord to bring the people who were hungry for Him, people who needed salvation, healing, encouragement, or simply needed to know how much Jesus loves them. And on this particular day, something remarkable happened!

I Recognized Her from the Previous Year!

I was preaching at the busy intersection of Queen Street and Kennedy Road when I noticed an elderly woman slowly making her way across the street. Even from a distance, I recognized her. I had prayed for this same woman a year earlier when she was suffering from painful arthritis. She used a walker, was very hunched over, and had a distinctive way of walking. I never forgot her. As she came closer, I called out to her.

“I remember you!”

She smiled and replied, “Yes, it's me.” Then she told me something that really blessed me.

“I knew it was you. I could see your blonde hair. I heard you preaching from across the street, and I knew I had to come over.”

Imagine that! Here we were, a year later, at the same busy intersection, surrounded by traffic and noise, and she heard me preaching and recognized who I was. What a reunion!

She Had Been Better, But the Pain Had Returned

Naturally, I wanted to know how she had been doing since I prayed for her the previous year. She told me that she had been much better, but recently the pain had started returning throughout her back. She also mentioned that she had osteoporosis. I began encouraging her from the Word of God about healing and the authority we have as believers in Jesus Christ. I explained that when symptoms return, we don't have to give up on believing God's promises. We can continue standing in faith and trusting Jesus for healing. Then I asked her a very important question.

“Do you believe Jesus wants to make you completely well?”

Without hesitation, she answered: “Yes, I do!” Well, that was all I needed to hear!

“It's Gone!”

Right there on the sidewalk, I laid hands on her and began praying in the name of Jesus. I spoke to the pain and commanded the symptoms to leave. I thanked the Lord for restoring her body from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. And when we finished praying, she looked at me with a big smile.

“It's gone!”

I wanted to make sure I understood what she was telling me. I asked, “Really? You're not just saying that? How do you know?” And right there in front of me, she straightened her back! Then she said something that made me rejoice.

“For years I couldn't stand like this. It always hurt, and now the pain is gone!”

Praise the Lord! She was standing straighter, demonstrating how she could move without the pain she had been experiencing. We stood there praising Jesus together!

Here is here testimony in this short youtube video clip taken that day.
Encouraging Her to Continue in Faith

Afterward, I spent some time encouraging her about continuing to believe God's Word. I reminded her that as a believer, she has authority in Jesus Christ and that she can stand on His promises. I encouraged her to renew her thinking to what the Scriptures say about healing, rather than allowing fear or the return of symptoms to discourage her.

I wanted her to understand that she didn't have to depend on finding me again whenever she needed prayer. She could develop her own confidence in God's Word and grow in her relationship with Jesus. That's such an important part of ministry for me. I don't just want to pray for someone and walk away. I want to help people understand what Jesus has provided for them so they can continue walking in faith.

What Are the Chances of Meeting Again?

As I thought about everything that happened, I kept coming back to the same question. What were the chances that I would meet this woman again, a whole year later, at that exact intersection, while preaching the Gospel? I had travelled thousands of kilometres across Canada. There were so many places I could have been that day, yet there she was, walking across the street and recognizing me by my blonde hair and my voice!

And once again, I had the opportunity to minister healing to her. It reminded me of the words the Lord spoke to my heart years ago:

“Tell them that I love them and tell them about Me.”

That's what I love about travelling ministry. You never know who the Lord is going to bring across your path, and sometimes He brings someone back so you can continue encouraging them and ministering His love.

Jesus told His disciples: “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:7–8 )

And Hebrews 13:8 reminds us:

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

The same Jesus who healed people throughout the Gospels is still our Healer today. I am so grateful that the Lord gave me another opportunity to pray with this woman and see her rejoice when she said the pain was gone.

Where Grace goes, Salvation comes!
