Revival on the Streets of Brampton! A Young Man Receives the Holy Spirit
During the July 2026 street ministry in Brampton, Ontario, the Gospel was preached at a busy intersection, people received prayer, and a 14-year-old young man returned with one request: “More of God.” That day, he received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues. Jesus is still changing lives on the streets!

Revival on the Streets of Brampton! A Young Man Receives the Holy Spirit
July 2026 | Queen Street East and Kennedy Road, Brampton, Ontario
During my 2026 Across Canada Miracle Ministry Journey, I spent several days ministering on the streets of Brampton, Ontario, sharing the Gospel, giving out Bibles and Gospel tracts, and praying with people as the Holy Spirit led. We set up near the busy intersection of Queen Street and Kennedy Road. There was traffic, people walking past, buses stopping, and all the usual noise of a busy city. But that didn't stop us from preaching Jesus!
Before going out each day, I would pray and ask the Lord to bring the people who were hungry for Him, those who needed salvation, healing, encouragement, or a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit. I wasn't interested in just standing on a street corner preaching at people. I wanted to reach their hearts, to tell them that Jesus loves them and to give them the opportunity to receive what He has provided.
And I tell you, God answered those prayers!
He Said, “I'm Coming Back!”
One particularly hot day, while ministering near the intersection, I noticed a young man walking past. He was only 14 years old. I stopped him and asked a simple question. “Can I pray for you?” He seemed interested, but he couldn't stop at that moment. Then he said something that caught my attention.
“I'm coming back.”
Well, you never know whether someone will actually return when they say that. But this young man did! When he came back, I asked him what he wanted prayer for. Without hesitation, he answered:
“More of God.”
What an answer! Here was a 14-year-old young man who could have asked for any number of things, but what he wanted was more of God. I could see that he was hungry for the Lord, and I was so encouraged.
Baptized in the Holy Spirit Right on the Street!
I began sharing with him about the Day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 and how Jesus promised His followers that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. We talked about the baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in other tongues. Then I prayed with him right there on the sidewalk.
And praise God, he received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues!
There we were, surrounded by traffic and all the activity of a busy intersection, and this young man was receiving the power of the Holy Spirit. We didn't need a church building. We didn't need a special service or a large crowd. We simply needed someone who was hungry to receive and willing to believe. It reminded me once again that the same Holy Spirit who came upon the believers on the Day of Pentecost is still available to believers today.
A Word of Encouragement for His Future
As I continued ministering to him, I felt the Holy Spirit giving me a word of encouragement concerning his future. I told him that I believed God wanted to use his life to reach people with the Gospel, even beyond his own nation. Then I looked at him and asked:
“Will you follow Jesus wherever He sends you, even to the nations?”
He answered: “Yes.” Hallelujah!
I couldn't help but think about the next generation and the importance of giving young people the opportunity to know Jesus personally and receive the power of the Holy Spirit. There is a whole generation that needs to hear the Gospel, and I believe God is raising up young people who will boldly share His love with others. I prayed that this young man would continue growing in the Word, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, and become everything God has called him to be.
Jesus Was Healing on the Streets Too!
That wasn't the only remarkable thing that happened during those days of street ministry in Brampton. On another day, while I was preaching through the microphone, an elderly woman heard me from across the busy intersection.
I recognized her immediately because I had prayed for her the previous year when she was suffering from years of painful arthritis. She recognized me too! She told me that she had been doing much better since receiving prayer the year before, although some pain had recently returned.
We prayed together again, right there on the sidewalk, and afterward she excitedly told me that the pain was gone. She demonstrated how she could straighten her back without the pain she had previously experienced. What a joy it was to see her again and hear what the Lord had done in her life!

The Gospel Is Not Just Words!
There were days when the summer heat was intense, and standing outside preaching wasn't always comfortable. But when you see people responding to the love and power of Jesus, you realize how worthwhile it all is. The Gospel isn't meant to stay inside the four walls of a church. Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. And that includes the streets of Brampton!
Sometimes people stop and listen. Sometimes they ask questions. Some want prayer, and others keep walking. But you never know what the Holy Spirit may already be doing in someone's heart. That young man could have kept walking and never returned. But he came back because he wanted more of God, and that day he received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. That's what makes street evangelism so exciting!
You never know who is going to stop, who is going to listen, or whose life may be changed through one simple conversation about Jesus.
The Apostle Paul wrote: “For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance.” (1 Thessalonians 1:5 )
And Jesus said: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me.” — Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
I am so grateful that the Lord gave me these opportunities to share His love and power on the streets of Brampton. There are people everywhere who need to know that Jesus loves them, that He is alive, and that His promises are still true today. The harvest is ready, and we need more believers willing to step out in faith and share the Good News!
Where Grace goes, Salvation comes!
TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!
